I had visions of romantic, serious pictures of Nick and I.
The second I sat down next to him he started tickling me.
We have our serious moments but for pictures, this is us.
Life is too serious to not have laughing pics.
The mini bike was the boys Christmas gift that their Dad picked out.
Ha! I am not sure I would have ever though of it but they do really like it.
I really did not think I should take the time yesterday to get these shots so when I realized the focus was not finding us I knew I would just roll with it and take what I got.
I like these more than I thought I would and am glad I did not have the time to redo them.
I have been using my Gorillapod Tripod to take these shots.
It is a really cool one that you can wrap around trees or take low shots like this.
I would like to say I planned to use it but I actually was just too lazy to look for the missing attachment to my big tripod…
Most of the time I just show you the end result of my self portraits with my boys.
Here are some of the in between shots.
They are not good at waiting patiently…
Also, I probably have taken hundreds of shots of me walking into the shot.
There must be sticks…
“Take a picture of me attacking this tree.”
“No, you need to go on this side…”
“Okay, no more stick.”
They started making crazy noises.
Me trying to figure out where I need to be to be in the shot.
Oops.
It still works, kind of.
Me trying to figure out if the boys are in the shot…
I thought they both should stand.
Nope.
Try again.
Focus was too low.
They get nutty…okay they are nutty from the start.
One more time!
“Let’s make crying baby noises!”
Sometimes these goons just need to be tickled.
My youngest, “The mighty warriors have been defeated by tickling.”
Did that make you tired?
I shot these with my Nikon D600, 50mm lens, tripod, and the Interval Timer on the camera.
I could not find my remote…
Ha!
