My oldest girl.
One of the best parts of summer are the Mimosa Trees blooming.

Lots of frog hunting and tiny harvests.

Seeing some friends.
Water baloon fights!

I loved this moment.
We tried out the local swimming beach for the first time this year and the kids loved it.
Apparently I didn’t take any pics of kids actually swimming though. ha
He always tries to make the dog pose if he see’s me taking a pic.
So far I have only killed some things so I am calling this a win.
Will need to tweak some things for next year though.
I am hoping to have two raised beds in this spot next year.
This reminds me that I need to make something with those blackberries I froze.
After seeing a bunch of worms on the ones in the fridge last year, I made sure to freeze soak them and freeze them this year.
Then I will make them into something because, gross.
My youngest son is perfecting his barreling walking skills, this has to count as an elective right?
I love walking outside and seeing lots of things growing.
I don’t enjoy all the bug bites that come with it…
Hopefully now that the dry heat of summer is setting in I can still keep these plants alive!
I am still doing a nightly photo project.
Sometimes the light is pretty and you just need a model.
Wild Allium
We watched a video on Hero of Alexandria so we broke out the project we did years ago.
It was the first time for the girls and the boys did not remember it so it was fun to break it out again.
I am trying Singapore Math with Little Bit.
Still enjoying Super Charged Science.
I think the kids just like that we get to do fun things like make ice cream in the middle of the day!
My oldest girl thought it was too cold.
Reading is starting to click for this girl!
Such an exciting time!
Lots of garden watching going on.
Little Bit wants to be like her big sister’s.
That is one way to cool off 😉
They are still working on what they hope will be a grapevine arbor.
We are starting to have days that are just too hot to not play in the water 😉
I am not sure he was happy with his situation…
We ended the week with a hike at The Trails at Collinsville Lake and it was so nice!
Great place to hike.
I feel like this post is already pretty full of pictures though so I will try to do a separate post of our hike.
Are you able to get out and hike in your area?
