My Mother’s Day

I spent Mother’s Day weekend hiking and camping with my men.

I planned the trip, not realizing it was Mother’s day but being in the woods with those I love the most was definitely how I wanted to spend it.

I will give more details about the hike on my outdoor blog.

We finished up around noon on Sunday (I skipped church…I know! If it helps I have my best talks with God while in the woods) and headed back towards home.

I am pretty sure any calories I burned on the hike I replaced with food.

I kept telling myself I would not do that THIS time.

I knew I was lying to myself even then…

I spent the day hiking with my men, eating yummy food, receiving freshly picked wildflowers in spiderman cups, and lots of hugs.

Perfect day!

I hope you spent Mother’s day doing something you love with those you love.

Field of flowers

My friend understands my need for models when I am surrounded by beautiful flowers.

She came over early on a Saturday morning because the flowers are the prettiest in the morning.

She is awesome like that.

Her girls are always dressed so adorable!

The littlest wanted Mommy the whole time, I was more then okay with that.

I love snuggling pictures.

If I had girls, I would want them to look this cute all the time.

Thank you Stephanie.

My flowers feel better now that they have had two cute little girls to play in them.
