We headed to Norman, OK on the day after Thanksgiving to use our membership to Sam Noble Museum of Natural History before it expires. They have a new exhibit every couple of months (I believe) and right now they have Osage Wedding Dresses.
The kids love doing the scavenger hunt.
One of the statues had a spear…
Their exhibits are so impressive.
Next stop was Thunderbird State Park for a hike.
They have a nice nature center also but it was not open.
We did the Hendon’s Highway loop in the Clear Bay Area from an alltrails.com recommendation but it was a little boring for most of the kids.
Most of my kids do better with something to climb on.
The twins had stepped up on this bent tree so I got on to surprise them and squish them.
I actually preferred this day to the day before.
All the cooking was a bit stressful and the cold rain kept us inside most of the day.
