Honey Springs Battlefield Reenactment 2019

History events are my favorite. The Honey Springs Battlefield Reenactment only happens once every two years and the weather was beautiful so there were a lot of people. I would have loved to go to the educational day but it is a bit far for us to do both that and the battle.

I do love how everyone is so patient though and seem to love history.

This mother getting her child ready was so beautiful.

Off to battle. It is very loud so if you have one sensitive to loud sounds you might want to bring something for their ears. They did a great job!

Pleasant Valley Farms Winter Squash and Pumpkin Festival~Sand Springs, OK

Pumpkin patches are such a fun cheap way to entertain kids!

I do not remember this being a thing when I was a kid.

Of course a trip to the pumpkin patch meant my mom’s garden…

This is our third year going to theĀ Pleasant Valley Farms Winter Squash and Pumpkin Festival in Sand Springs and I still like it. It is a quiet out in the middle of the country kind of place and the drive alone is worth it. We don’t really do a bunch of things that cost money at these places.

But there is always something fun to do for free.

This place always has fun games for the kids to play. Rubber duck races. Corn bin. Bull riding/bouncing? Watching someone chuck a pumpkin. This one even has a small maze that is free.

They have animals also which is always fun for my poor non farm kids šŸ˜‰

Are you a pumpkin patch fan?

This is a fun event, you should check it out next year or check out their pumpkin patch this year!

Crystal Clear Creek in Oklahoma!

The Little Blue Area used to be a state park and is located in Disney, OK. It had changed some since the last time we went, it has a really deep spot that was perfect for swimming! I would still recommend footwear since the rocks are hard on feet but it was a great place to explore. It ended up being a bit chilly(for okies) and rainy but it was nice to be there when it was almost empty instead of crowded.
The water is so clear and cold! The cold was a bit shocking at first. The kids loved catching minnows and crawfish!Ā  It took me a while but I decided to go into the deep end to swim and I was so glad I did.

Swimming with a cliff right there and all that green in a clear, cold, creek was amazing.

So pretty.

Nick relaxed…ha There are only vault toilets there so keep that in mind. The kids got a kick out of watching these jeeps drive up the waterfall nearby!

This is such a fun spot to visit!

It can be hard to find but the road to get their is located across from the Disney State Park.

Check out the video I made of our afternoon at youtube!
