Walnut Creek State Park, Lake Keystone, OK

entranceThere is supposed to be a 15 mile trail at Walnut Creek State Park by the water.

We did not really see the trail that was on the map much, although there were a lot of other equestrian trails around.

I am not sure if the map was wrong or we were just not seeing the trail.

We just went on one of the equestrian trails until we were close enough to the lake to cut across to the shore.

nick woods mudbursSince the map showed following the edge of the lake we just walked along the shore.

nickandi smilesI took advantage of a beautiful spot and my little photographer.

I am so glad I can hand my boys the camera and get a good shot of Nick and I!

1st 2nd 3rdThere were many lightsaber battles to be had.

victoryThankfully I know enough about Star Wars to inform my son that Anakin always protected his mother.

As opposed to trying to get her with the force or his lightsaber…

We had not been here in a little while and I am glad we went!

It does close some areas every December though so if you want to check it out you might want to do so soon!

Chandler Park, Tulsa Ok

lostcity photog explorers rock overgrown climb climber oldest climbing sitting backdropSupposedly the Lost City Trail at Chandler Park is over 3 miles long but it was really overgrown and difficult to tell if you were on the right path.

Still a great place to explore!

The boys were younger last time and I did not enjoy it as much since there is quite a bit of glass laying around.

This time around went a lot better!

If you have a climber in your family I would definitely recommend checking out this park!
