At the Lake
My husband was able to do his birthday miles friday.
36 miles of running and walking.
We brought him more water a couple of times and went to a nearby lake afterwards once.
Sometimes I forget how great it is to just let my boys explore an environment.
They soak in so much information by just being kids.
My oldest was determined to catch one of the little fish.
He did it!
I will have to do this more often.
Here is Nick at the end of his miles!

I am perfectly content to just go on a hike for my birthday.
Maybe I should do my birthday minutes.
31 minutes of hiking should be a nice easy goal.
Working late
When I found out my husband would be working later than usual last night, I knew I could either sit and watch the seconds tick by or do something to kill a chunk of time.
We chose to kill some time.
We have been pretty mild this summer in Oklahoma but this week got hot.
When it is hot here I find water to be the only way to go when you want to go outside.
Adding a sprinkler to their rope swing was a big hit last year so I knew they would enjoy it again.
