Boardwalk Trail at the Wildlife Refuge

I asked the boys if they wanted to hike in the same place or something different.

The yelled different!

So we turned right instead of left in search of a new adventure.

It had been a little while since our last visit to the Wildlife refuge in Okmulgee so I was excited to go again.

“PAY THE TOLL”

It is such a beautiful place.

I love having my own photographer around.

My youngest is starting to be a real character in front of the camera.

We got off the boardwalk and took a path for a little bit.

My boys were Jedi Knight training the whole time.

This one was taken by my oldest also.

I love when he gets creative with my camera.

Self Portrait ~Days 26 & 27

Day 26

Walking the couple feet to this retaining wall barefoot gave me the desire to do something I have never done.

Walk barefoot all over my yard.

So I did.

This might not seem like a big deal but we have had a run in with a copperhead, tarantulas, scorpions, and many big spiders, walking barefoot in my yard is an act of bravery (or stupidity…).

It took me back to my summers growing up in Indiana, warm grass and dirt under your feet is a beautiful thing.

Day 27

My husband had a race on Sunday so I took advantage of that time to take my daily pic.

Right after this shot is one where I look a little severe.

I was reminding my youngest why it is never funny to yell HELP ME in the woods…
