Music Science Kit

We were learning about Jubal and Tubal-Cain (descendent of Cain) so I broke out our Music Science Kit I had bought a little while ago.

Jubal was known for his invention of the Harp and Lyre.

Tubal-Cain was known for working with Iron and Bronze(we watched some videos on the elements for those).

I liked that the kit explained music in a scientific way.

It had the boys try cotton balls before coins and see if it made noise.

The boys really liked making a guitar from the box the kit came in!

It explained what you need to make sounds and the different things you could use to make a guitar.

We also watched some videos on youtube of people playing the Harp and the Lyre!

There are some really talented people out there!

This kit was a lot of fun and a great add on to a study about music.

Black & White Project ~Day 1

My friend and I are doing a photography project this week!

Having a friend to do one with is so much fun!

I really like a good challenge to help me improve my photography.

Do you give yourself a challenge to improve in an area?

Their dynamic is always changing.

Sometimes they get along really well and sometimes they argue from the moment they open their eyes.

Because we homeschool, they are together all the time.

Best friends(sometimes not by choice).

It makes me wonder what their relationship will look like as they get older.

Seeing those two heads stuck together planning is something I do not want to take for granted.

Dirty faces, forts, adventures, sword fights, light saber battles, running from the enemy…

Those are all things that I will definitely miss.
