All I wanted was Nick and a walk in the woods…

For my birthday all I really wanted was my husband to be home and a walk in the woods.

And that is what I got.

Being in the woods always makes everything else go away.

When things press in around me the woods push them back.

I always thought church should be outside instead of in a stuffy building.

I guess rain and other bad weather might discourage people from coming though…

Ha.

I am a recovering wimp.

I would rather sit all day and read then be productive.

Or walk through the woods instead of driving…anywhere.

I am lazy basically.

So when I hear of a new challenge in front of me, I am not one of those people that rushes to meet it (do those people even exist?).

Instead I want to curl up in a ball until it goes away.

My little pep talk I am giving myself?

“I can do hard things.”

And now you know. I am just a recovering wimp trying to pull my weight.

But wishing I was eating eating chocolates while reading a book…

My oldest said he likes all of these. Ha.
