This beautiful tree was all lit up outside our zoo when we went this week.
I decided it would make an amazing backdrop for a couple pics with my boys.
I handed my oldest the camera first (I like to live on the edge like that).
My oldest could not figure out what to do with my auto focus camera!
He has an older camera that is completely manual.
He has a little trouble focusing but does amazing at adjusting all the settings!
Blows me away!
He likes to take a LOT of pictures!
It was making me laugh.
Then my boys switched and it was my youngest turn.
When I want them to take some pictures, I set the camera to the settings I want and tell them where to stand.
He did a really good job focusing.
We watched the baby Jaguars for a long time!
They are so cute!
I want one…
One of the zoo keepers were walking around with a Kite.
My youngest tried to pet it.
Thankfully he stopped him before he lost a finger.
No, we do not pet birds of prey…
Make sure you get in pictures with your kids!!!
Check out Emily at the Anderson Crew for more about getting in the shot.
the zoo is a must on my upcoming trip back home to st. louis, they have one of the best in the country! mothers and their sons…always the best combo for photos! 🙂
I went to the St. Louis zoo when I was a child and loved it!
You have quite the photographers there! Great pictures. It looks like a perfect day at the zoo!
So neat that your little boy loves photography and has mastered manual focus (my downfall). My three year old has a toy camera and loves to take pictures with it. He’s a boy after my own heart. 🙂
Not mastered but trying! Poor kid can change the shutter speed but can not seem to get the focus right. I have to admit I have had trouble when I tried with his camera also!!! Hoping to find him a lens that will actually do auto focus!
So fun! Your boys are adorable. 🙂
Thank you!
can’t believe your boys took those pics. we would have a whole lot of nothing if i handed my girls the camera! we need to get to the zoo while the weather is still this nice!
They do a really good job! I am really happy that I can hand my camera over to them.
