My house is cleaner.

I have a three year old and a four year old. I thought for sure they were too young to help much around the house.

After talking to fellow Mom’s and reading many blogs that talked about having their young children clean, I realized I was wrong!

***Correction, my husband helped me realize that the boys could clean also. I love you baby! Aren’t you glad that I always listen to you and take your advise the second you say it?

I get to sit back and watch the work.

Before you feel too bad for my cleaning crew…

Just remember they are boys.

Nothing can go on long without involving superheros swooping in to save the day.

And what better way for a superhero to get to the damsel in distress quickly then on a Swiffer?

The whole world should be covered in feathers

This is my sister Deborah.

She has been living in Aussie land since January and just returned home.

She was nice enough to make the long drive to come and see me.

She might have wanted to see my two little rascals who just happen to be her nephews also.

Our pictures together always end up like this.

Because I am so funny of course.

While here I thought I would make these earing’s for her (and me).

Because I am awesome like that.

I also tend to just decide to do something and then that is all I can think of until I do it.

So that might have had a little tiny bit to do with it.

But I am pretty sure it is mostly because I am awesome.

I saw them on this site.

The site of one of my favorite photographers!

I knew when I saw them I wanted to make them.

Miracles do happen, because I did!

Here is what you need.

1. Earings

2. Wire

3. Feathers

I found all of these in my local craft store.

The earing thingies (that is the technical term) and wire were in the Jewelry section and the Feathers were…in the feather section?

Did you know that there is a whole section filled with colored feathers and boas?

I think I should add pink feathers to all of my wardrobe now.

Or maybe not…

Take one of these.

Cut a six inch piece of the wire (I just guessed on size).

I was able to cut mine with scissors.

Take some of the feathers and wrap the the tops with the wire.

Then wrap the wire around the earing.

I feel so crafty!

I am not crafty…

So if nothing else these were a boost for my ego!

Seriously though, these photograph like a dream!

Don’t be afraid to wear unique jewelry for your portrait session.

I love them.

The end.
