We got to check off another Oklahoma State Park off the list last month!
Lake Thunderbird State Park!
It has a nice nature center which is always a plus for my kids!
We had already walked all around the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History so I chose a nice easy trail.
The Fawn’s Nest Nature Trail was a little run down but went right next to the lake and was a pretty little walk.
The kids were excited to see a little bit of snow!
The campground looks nice and the playground near it was a bonus.
This would be a nice park to camp at!
I think we only have two state parks left!!!!
They are the Great Plains State Park and Quartz Mountain State Park!
Can’t wait to plan a trip to see them!
So what can you do if you are worried about your child having an allergic reaction to something?
My twins have some pretty bad allergies and while camping we have had some reactions pop up.

This place is a great stop for adventure loving kids.
Our camping spot was directly across from the path to the nature center which was nice!
I like camping at places with natures centers(or museums nearby) and hiking paths.
Robber’s cave has some fun boat rentals also.

This park is unique because of the amazing climbing it has.
There are several trails to get to the cave and they range from very difficult to pretty easy.
My boys of course wanted to take the hardest path.

Our pretty spot.
Back to the rock climbing.

Goof

There was a boy scout troop there when we were though and they were all just running around climbing like crazy. So maybe I am just paranoid.
There are steep drop offs though so if you have little ones that is something to keep in mind.

This is the easiest way that I know off.

Great way to finish our trip last month!
We didn’t bring waders…
This one was not a nature trail but most of the others we went on were.

I get a little crazy about wanting to see everything so I was bummed to realize I missed a few nature trails but the ones we went on were beautiful!
