Our weekend at Sequoyah State Park

Cooking in the popup.

Getting ready to hike.

Quiet time.

The bundle of blue sleeping bag is my youngest.

I taught him UNO, he really liked it!

My youngest woke up not feeling well so I broke out a movie on my kindle.

I really enjoy time spend in the popup!

I enjoy the simplicity, the closeness, and all around less stuff (although it does not look it in this pic)!

In other news I think I am going to just call the fact I did not complete my 30 day project this month!

I have never done that!

I am pretty sure my downfall was changing the rules half way through.

That and sick kids…

I will have to think of a new one.

What did you do over the weekend?

My favorite kid friendly hikes in the Tulsa area.

Ray Harral Nature Park

Easy trails and a Nature Center.

Located on 121st just east of Elm. Turn into the school on 121st you will see a sign for the park at the entrance.

Oxley Nature Center

Easy Trails, Wildlife, and Nature Center

Inside Mohawk park near the zoo.

Redbud Valley Nature Preserve

Trails next to bluffs, Easy Trails, Small Nature Center.

East of Tulsa by Catoosa.

There are more that I really like farther outside of Tulsa.

I think I will wait and share those another day.

Do you live in the Tulsa area?

Have you been to all of these?

Check them out!

Oxley Nature Center, Tulsa OK

The Mary K. Oxley Nature Center has some beautiful trails.

It is located in Mohawk park next to the zoo.

They do get very messy if it has been raining a lot and some even disappear all together so it is best to go when it has been dry.

With the abundance of water you get to see a lot of wildlife.

Some I prefer seeing from a distance.

They have lookouts to view birds from and a pretty nice nature center.
