Only 1 more day left!
I stuck with my plan to wear my two nephews and my boys out.
We went to the Tulsa Zoo!
Who cares if it was calling for triple digits…
We went through the Zoorasic Park exhibit while there.
This was my boys second and probably last time.
It is leaving soon and I try to not pay for extras at the zoo often.
I was really hoping to get accidentally sprayed by this guy…
They had the right idea.
I think they should have made this an excavation pit in the rain.
What?
What if it was all going to be destroyed if we did not uncover it right away and we could not use tents or tarps?
They really need to add these scenarios when it is hot.
Can I be honest?
The petting zoo is not my favorite part of a zoo.
It is extremely hot and it has goats…
I try this logic with my boys but they still seem to think it is the best part.
My nephew was really excited to see the Macaws and really sweet to want a picture in front of the owls because his sister likes them.
The heat really hit when we were close to being done.
Thankfully we saved most of the buildings for last.
Unfortunately the dessert was one of those buildings.
You win some…
The National Cowboy & Heritage Museum in OKC is hosting Wide-Open Wednesdays until November 19th!
Free Admission on Wednesdays!
I went online and searched for a scavenger hunt for my boys and two nephews before we went.
Here is the link, http://cowboykids.nationalcowboymuseum.org/prin_trai.html
I knew without the scavenger hunt it could get really interesting with four boys just walking around looking at art…
I like how scavenger hunts like this make them look at all of the paintings.
They have a children’s area also.
The gardens are a nice place to get all their extra energy out as well.
Be sure to stop by the old west town!
I feel like it is kind of hidden a bit but it is on the map so make sure you don’t walk by it.
Most of it is too dark for pictures but they had the children’s play area…I mean jail lit.
Don’t worry we gave them some bread and water…
