Hiking, My Family

Christmas Day.

Since most places were closed on Christmas Day and we needed something to do with 9 children, we went to Turkey Mountain for a hike.

I took some of them on a “short cut” which probably was not shorter by the time I was done.

I think I should stay away from the upper trails there and stick to what I know.

I then proceeded to go to the theater with my sister in-law on Christmas day.

Just us.

I enjoyed it, although I was left with more questions then answers…

I did question my choice of a crowded theater for my first alone time in a while…

This Christmas was so different then previous ones.

It still had the important things though, family and being outside.

Zoo with family and a baby kangaroo.

With a total of 9 kids together all day we made sure we were going and doing things a lot while my in-laws visited over Christmas.

The zoo was a nice easy way to get energy out while seeing cool animals.

The little Joey was pretty adorable.

What do you like to do when you have a lot of kids to entertain?

I am torn between documenting my life on here and my life needing to be private.

I am still taking a lot of pictures just not ones I can share.

Foster care is like I thought it would be and whole lot of stuff that I didn’t think about.

It’s seeing a broken system, broken child, and broken parent and wanting desperately to fix it all.

But you can’t.

You can just give hugs and push for change.
