So much joy.
Her eyes as the water got higher…
Give me sunsets, sprinklers, and swings every day.
Now I just need a seperate house for the muddy wet children to go into afterwards.
I like to walk on a bike path near my husbands work.
We got a nice surprise on our last visit of hundreds of butterflies!
We would be walking and suddenly they were everywhere!
They really liked to land on the back of my neck.
It did freak me out a bit but I tried to keep my cool since I was the adult.
Ha
My girls went between loving it and freaking out.
They seemed to like my oldests’ daughters bright shirt.
My two younger girls were not very happy that they were not getting landed on.
I believe they are Painted Lady Butterflies.
Little bit was being chased by a butterfly.
This one did not want to leave and just hung out for a long time.
I decided this was a good time to try getting a shot with all my kids in it!
I was wrong.
I did not get one shot with everyone looking.

Oh well, we will just go with a nice casual shot.
Trying to be super still so a butterfly will land on them.
She did not like her pet butterfly moving to her neck…
He thought it was funny.
She freaked out right after this.
Yes, I took a video.
But also I helped move the butterfly along.
Ha
She finally got a butterfly!
It ended up staying with her the rest of the time!
Her butterfly flew off before we could get one more pic.
This one did not want to leave.
I was told by one of my daughters that this was the best walk ever!

I am on a mission to visit all of the State Parks in Oklahoma.
This past weekend we went to Grand Lake to visit some of the parks over there and tour the Pensacola Dam.
They give tours all summer from 9-4.
So much information!
I learned a lot from the tour!
You do go where the turbines are running so it can get very loud.
Our tour guide was excellent.
Such a wealth of knowledge.
Afterwards we drove around trying to find this old state park called Little Blue State Park.
We had been told it had a great wading creek that was ice cold and clear but it was hard to find the entrance.
The road is across from Disney State Park that takes you to this little park.
So pretty and worth the search.
It is not very deep at all and very rocky.
I would definitely recommend water shoes of some sort.
There were a lot of crawdads and minnows.
It reminded me of the creek we used to play in as kids.
There was a slightly deeper area but it was pretty crowded so we did not stay over there.
If you want deeper water to swim in Grand Lake State Park has a swimming area nearby.
We went because this kid is about to have a birthday and I wanted to go somewhere the weekend before!
Last day of being 11!
I will have a twelve year old tomorrow!
