Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History

For Father’s day we headed to Oklahoma City to visit the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History.

My husband likes doing things together so I thought it would be a perfect Father’s day outing!

Plus, father’s got in free!!!

It was $5 total for all of us to get in (my boys were free)!

I was not sure what to expect but it was amazing!

Lot’s to see and touch!

My boys loved it!

There was something in every area that the boys could touch or interact with.

And a lot of dinosaurs!

Of course my boys did not care about that part…

Boys do not like dinosaurs, right?

They have an Asian dinosaur exhibit going on right now.

It included a scavanger hunt!

My oldest loved it!

He kept saying, “I am a SCIENTIST!”

My oldest also loved the touch screens.

We all ended up having a good time!

My oldest asked as we were leaving when we could come back again.

I think it was a hit!

Photographers WERE harmed in the taking of these pictures…

I went out with the boys to take some pics of them swinging on their rope swing.

Since I had my wide angle lens, I needed to get close to get a cool shot.

Those feet are pretty close…

What do you think happened seconds after this shot was taken?

I was laying on the ground holding my head…

It can be difficult to tell how close you are to an object with the wide angle lens.

My youngest swung around and kicked the camera, therefore slamming it into my forehead.

My oldest, “YOU HURT MOM!!!”

My youngest, “Mom, you were too close. You should not have been that close.”

My youngest was right by the way. It was my fault.

I just thought his reaction was a true 4yr old thing to say.

After making sure I was in fact without a concussion, I started taking pictures again.

Although my oldest would not swing if I got too close.

He would even tell me to get back.

Apparently he is smarter then I am…

Toys

My oldest asked me the other day what my toys were.

This is me playing with a new one.

A wide angle lens!

I told him a couple things I considered to be my toys, my camera, canoe, vehicles…

Adults toys are just bigger and a whole lot more expensive then kids toys!
