Dinosaurs and hiking thanksgiving weekend

We headed to Norman, OK on the day after Thanksgiving to use our membership to Sam Noble Museum of Natural History before it expires. They have a new exhibit every couple of months (I believe) and right now they have Osage Wedding Dresses.

The kids love doing the scavenger hunt.

One of the statues had a spear… Their exhibits are so impressive. Next stop was Thunderbird State Park for a hike. They have a nice nature center also but it was not open. We did the Hendon’s Highway loop in the Clear Bay Area from an alltrails.com recommendation but it was a little boring for most of the kids. Most of my kids do better with something to climb on. The twins had stepped up on this bent tree so I got on to surprise them and squish them.

We all fit!

I actually preferred this day to the day before.

All the cooking was a bit stressful and the cold rain kept us inside most of the day.

The twins are 10!

I took these on their last day as 9yr olds!

They are strong, fiesty, and love babies 😉

They both decided to be engineers so they can make lots of money, and nurses.

And I can’t believe they used to be this little…

Same posing as the above pic and one of the first pics I took of the two of them over 4 years ago.

Check out last year’s pics, https://daniellehuddlestonphotography.com/the-twins-are-9/.

Boys vs. Girls

While in Minnesota last month our kids got a chance to play a lot with their cousins up there.

I barely saw my boys, they were either playing video games or out in the woods doing who knows what.

I finally decided to be brave and see what they were doing.

They were attacking each other on barrels…

Probably did not need to see that.

What were the girls doing at that exact same moment?

Learning dance moves to songs…

Cracked me up.

Sometimes they are playing crazy like their brothers but other times they are doing this.

HA

And checking out Grandpa’s fishing tackle.

Riding the mule.

And learning dance steps…

They have been singing the bits and pieces of the song their cousin taught them non stop for a month.

Um, thanks?
