Trip to see family and the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge

While my mom, sister, and nephew were in town a couple weeks ago we went down to visit my aunt and uncle that live a couple hours away.

It was great to have so much family in one place and the boys did not break anything in the restaurant!

I would say that alone is a miracle.

My aunt and uncle with the boys.

We stopped by the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge on the way home.

It was a beautiful day for a walk in the woods!

The boys needed to get some of that little boy energy out before we drove back home also!

Such handsome little men!

My oldest took this.

It is so nice to have a personal photographer around.

Bird watching.

The drive around the refuge was a little uneventful but we did end up seeing some birds and several armadillos!

My mom with her grandsons.

Aren’t they cute!

I want one.

My favorite kid friendly hikes in the Tulsa area.

Ray Harral Nature Park

Easy trails and a Nature Center.

Located on 121st just east of Elm. Turn into the school on 121st you will see a sign for the park at the entrance.

Oxley Nature Center

Easy Trails, Wildlife, and Nature Center

Inside Mohawk park near the zoo.

Redbud Valley Nature Preserve

Trails next to bluffs, Easy Trails, Small Nature Center.

East of Tulsa by Catoosa.

There are more that I really like farther outside of Tulsa.

I think I will wait and share those another day.

Do you live in the Tulsa area?

Have you been to all of these?

Check them out!

Oxley Nature Center, Tulsa OK

The Mary K. Oxley Nature Center has some beautiful trails.

It is located in Mohawk park next to the zoo.

They do get very messy if it has been raining a lot and some even disappear all together so it is best to go when it has been dry.

With the abundance of water you get to see a lot of wildlife.

Some I prefer seeing from a distance.

They have lookouts to view birds from and a pretty nice nature center.
