So I set out to take this picture for my 365 project
When this happened right in front of my lens
He kept saying, “my Maddie”(that’s the dogs name)
He has me wrapped around his little finger.

Puddle Jumping at last!
Here is a little disclamer, most of these pictures are black and white. I kept trying to add more color but my mouse kept drifting to the black and white version!
It rained a lot the day before my session with this family so I asked the mom what she thought about doing some rain boot shots. They did not have rain boots so she was just going to bring them play clothes but ended up buying the kids rain boots the day of!
The only problem was the two little cuties were not sure about jumping in puddles.
I might have scared them off by laying in the mud and rolling around to get a shot…you have to do what you have to do.
At the very end they did decide they wanted to try it and after little sister surprised us all by just jumping straight in big brother soon followed. You can’t let little sisters have all the fun.
Go find some puddles to jump in!

Too honest?
My 3yr old recently realized that he can use the bathroom to get out of things he does not want to do, like going to bed. Part of me knows that he is stalling but the other part struggles with the whole “I really don’t want him to have to go to the bathroom and I am telling him no”. This is the conversation that goes on in my head every time he tries it, which is pretty much every nap time and bedtime. Today though I asked (told) him he needed to go before nap and he said, “I do not need to go now, I will need to go once I am in bed”.
While I admire his honesty and daring, part of me was thinking is it bad parenting that he does not realize that this is bad!
We had a little chat about it though and I am pretty sure it is clear now, hopefully…
