I went online and searched for a scavenger hunt for my boys and two nephews before we went.

Here is the link, http://cowboykids.nationalcowboymuseum.org/prin_trai.html

museumhunt

I knew without the scavenger hunt it could get really interesting with four boys just walking around looking at art…

I like how scavenger hunts like this make them look at all of the paintings.

They have a children’s area also.

The gardens are a nice place to get all their extra energy out as well.

Be sure to stop by the old west town!

I feel like it is kind of hidden a bit but it is on the map so make sure you don’t walk by it.

Most of it is too dark for pictures but they had the children’s play area…I mean jail lit.

Don’t worry we gave them some bread and water…

Heritage Park Splashpad ~Day 2

My oldest nephew was not sure about the whole splashpad thing until I showed him pictures.

Of course once we got there he embraced the whole idea…

This is him and my oldest.

People guessed they were brothers because of the hair.

excited

They indulged us really.

Can’t you just see the boredom on their faces…

joy

They were very good sports though and made it through.

happy

What did we do the rest of the day?

The adults crashed while the boys spent most of their time playing with Lego’s.

Lego’s saved the adults I think.

We were worn out from all of that sitting and watching…

When summer came to visit with my nephews ~Day 1

My husband’s parents came to visit last week bringing my nephews with them and the heat…

We have had a pretty mild summer this year with just a few weeks of really hot weather but while they were here it was just HOT.

highline

Everyone tried out the Slackline in our backyard before the day got too hot.

Since I have lived in Oklahoma so long I try to remember my “too hot” is not the same for everyone.

I can sit outside in the high 90’s and think “this is not too bad, kind of nice really”.

I recognize I am broken though…

I knew if we did anything outside it needed to involve water!

I like water pictures anyway.

Thankfully kids like water also.

I think they feel like they are being destructive and making a mess but they are not!

Win, win.

After you are wet the intense heat feels pretty good.

popcicles

Popsicles help also.

We survived the whole week with four boys and hot days!

I might need a vacation though!

We did a lot!

I will be sharing more of what we did, this week.

I can’t fit it all into one post!
