Truckin’ along

I feel like we are almost to the finish line.

We may be limping along but we will cross it.

end

Any other homeschoolers, educators, parents out there feeling the same?

timeline

I keep meaning to get my next homeschool post up but putting my thoughts together along with links and information seems like too much work right now…

working

The boys are doing fine.

I think it is just me that is counting down days until we finish curriculum.

If you too feel like the school year is taking a long time to end, please know you are not alone.

Since we have a lot to do before the end I also need more time.

It is an odd, “it’s too far away, we need it to be farther” kind of thing.

I like to want two things at once.

It keeps things interesting.

Simple, Beautiful Moments

I have been focusing more lately on savoring all of those beautiful little moments that make up life and last Sunday was filled with them.

boardwalk

We visited the Deep Fork Wildlife Refuge in Okmulgee after church.

turtles

The sun was shining, the kids ran, it was beautiful.

railroadtrail

Nick and I held hands as we walked on the Railroad Trail to the River Overlook.

I just kept sighing.

That moment was perfect.

himandme

This man is amazing.

bubbles

We came home and the air filled with the sounds of kids laughing as the day faded away.

boys

Of course the day was filled with normal stuff also, correction, fighting, and so on, but I feel like that stuff just makes the beautiful moments stand out even more.

swing

Kids playing on a rope swing while the sun sets behind them.

I did not want to go inside and make dinner.

I felt like I would miss something.

Life is filled with so many beautiful moments, I want to cherish as many as I can.
