I am watching you!

I saw this little guy hanging out on his glass on my previous trip to the zoo but since I had my trusty (but not great for dark situations) zoom lens I had to be happy with just a silhouette.

I was glad he decided to pose for me again when I had my 50mm lens (on another trip, I did not run home for my lens. I wanted to but did not…) which lets in an amazing amount of light. I cranked the ISO up and got this.

I love it.

Thank you mister Gecko.

Watermelon Days 2

I took some watermelon pictures of my boys last year by themselves, then with a friend.

When it gets crazy hot here I have to find different ways to take pictures of my boys.

Watermelon is awesome for hot summer days and wonderfully messy!

I also needed to take some pictures of the boys in their new hats from their Aunt Becca.

Two for one really.

I love the messy faces.

And how pretty the watermelon is.

More of the messy faces I love.

Watermelon juice on little tummies is irresistible.

I love those little hands.

He loves his hat!

This face.

I love it.

Anyone else notice how often I use the word love?

Odd.

Stephanie’s Family

Stephanie’s two youngest get on here often, and even her oldest made an appearance recently but family pictures seem to just fall through the cracks!

We worked at fixing that by doing a family session in the beautiful morning light. We were doing it in the morning so that it would not be too hot and of course had a cold front come through for the session.

It still worked out to get the morning coolness and beautiful light though. I am glad I made myself get out of bed!

Dancing with daddy.

Lots of smiles.

They were doing hand puppets on my reflector. I have never thought of that before.

Love her little hand behind her back.

Love.

I love how he makes her smile.

Watching turtles.

I had a great time playing in the light.

Such an awesome family.
