New photo project

I have taken up another daily photo project.

I am not sure yet how long it will be.

I go out every night after getting kids to bed and walk around our yard.

That in and of itself is relaxing and making it worthwhile.

I used to walk outside in the evenings a lot when I was teenager.

I love watching the changes that are happening every day.

The little things that I never noticed.

Like a plants first flower.

Or new bugs that are coming out as we enter summer.

Sometimes one of the boys will be out there and I can’t resist snapping a shot.

Sometimes I feel nostalgic of when I did my first photo project, 365 self portraits.

That was about 8yrs ago.

I am finding that I am improving my dog photography since our dog Milo is an interesting subject.

So far I am 27 days in.

I am wondering how long I can find things to take pictures of in our yard.

You would think I would run out eventually!

But for now I am enjoying the challenge and the chance to end the day in peace and quiet.

Have you ever done a daily project?

What did you think?

My boys and I

I thought I would try for some shots with the puppy we have been taking care of recently.

I do not like that my legs are straight out and I kept pulling one knee up but I had two kids and two dogs working against me.

I did not tell them to look at the camera.

I just noticed everyone was looking so I looked!

I tried arranging us a little differently but the dogs decided they were done…

“I am getting out of here!”

Abandoned.

I was actually surprised they lasted as long as they did!

I love these pictures and I think everyone had fun taking them!

I have found that if I want a lot of pictures with my boys then I need to make it a really fun experience.

That way they think it is adventure instead of a punishment when I call them over for a pic.

3Boys and 3Labs!

Wow, I had fun on this shoot! I also realized that my dogs are highly under trained! Their labs are sweet and two of them are show dogs, I loved getting to do family pictures with the WHOLE family. It was cold so we all walked away with cold hands and red noses but they were good sports and stayed with me for about an hour out in the cold! You can tell they all really love each other and I loved getting the chance to meet such a great family. While the parents and oldest were trying to get the dogs all set up in the shot the middle boy looked right at the camera with a big grin on his face, this went on for about fifteen minutes and sometimes his baby brother would join in. Caos was going on around them, dogs in their faces, even getting knocked over by a dog once and these little pro’s would just keep smiling at the camera! I am going to include one of those shots so you can see the concentration this kid had, he did great!
