RSU Conservation Trail~ Claremore, OK

The Rogers State University in Claremore has a 120 acre nature conservatory with trails that is open to the public.

I decided to go with my boys and check it out.

It ended up being a beautiful morning and not too hot!

Seeing this guy off the bat was a good sign I thought.

I took pictures of the trails so you would know what to expect.

There are some trails through grass that you can take so I would bring bug spray or wear pants if you want to take those.

A lot of them look like this.

Most are pretty short and easy so young children should not have a problem.

This is the wetlands area but since it has been so dry in Oklahoma lately there was no water.

I would like to go back when we have had some rain.

We saw egrets, ducks, and turtles at the pond.

We also saw a lot of deer!

My oldest did not want to leave, he thought we should see more animals since they seemed to be around every corner.

They have a lot of really nice signs to help you out.

I would love to go back.

It was an awesome education reserve and a beautiful walk.

If you live in the area you should definitely check this one out!
