Where the magic happens.

It seems like there are quite a few people that are curious about my backyard.

I take a lot of pictures out there.

So here she is!

That spot to the left is where I get shots like this one.

My husband made little trails around it for the boys to use.

I am sure my clients are glad they do not have to wade through the tall grass the whole time.

I think wading through the grass gives it an African safari feel…

If you look in this one you will see a chain link fence in the back.

That marks the end of our property.

It is woods behind us so it makes it seem even bigger!

This shot below was taken this morning in the spot to the right in the above picture.

It is one of only six pictures I took!

My friend Stephanie was actually taking pictures of her parents with her two little girls.

I was just hanging out shooting some video to play around with.

It was really hard to not take a lot of pictures instead though!

I love my yard.

I am so glad that my husband puts up with me and my need for a photo shoot worthy yard.

I wonder if he would be okay with turning his shed into a studio for me?

Probably not…

My Mother’s Day

I spent Mother’s Day weekend hiking and camping with my men.

I planned the trip, not realizing it was Mother’s day but being in the woods with those I love the most was definitely how I wanted to spend it.

I will give more details about the hike on my outdoor blog.

We finished up around noon on Sunday (I skipped church…I know! If it helps I have my best talks with God while in the woods) and headed back towards home.

I am pretty sure any calories I burned on the hike I replaced with food.

I kept telling myself I would not do that THIS time.

I knew I was lying to myself even then…

I spent the day hiking with my men, eating yummy food, receiving freshly picked wildflowers in spiderman cups, and lots of hugs.

Perfect day!

I hope you spent Mother’s day doing something you love with those you love.
